Community Development Application

Overview


The City of Billings receives federal funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnership (HOME) programs to assist the community in providing affordable housing, suitable living environments and expanding opportunities for low-income households.

As part of the Consolidated Planning process, funding is made available to implement activities supporting the City's affordable housing and poverty-impact strategies.Funding is allocated through a public planning process beginning in December each year and ending in final action by the City Council each April.
