Animal Control

The City of Billings Police Department provides animal control services to the citizens of the City of Billings. Managed by an animal control supervisor, animal control has a staff of 5 animal control officers, and a senior office assistant.

The main function of animal control is to enforce the animal control laws of the City of Billings. The animal control officers respond to over 5,000 calls for service each year; including but not limited to noisy animals, small animals at large, dangerous animals, animal bites, wildlife loose in the city, and cruelty to animals which includes neglected or abandoned animals.
