As recipients of Federal Transit Administration (FTA) grant funding, MET Transit is required to have a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Plan in place. A DBE is a for-profit small business concern that is at least 51 percent owned by one or more individuals who are both socially and economically disadvantaged.
The DBE Plan's intent is to provide a level playing field for DBE companies wanting to do business with MET Transit, and other agencies receiving Federal funds from the U.S. Department of Transportation.
