Poly Drive Road Reconstruction (32nd Street West to 38th Street West)
PROJECT UPDATES (week of August 31st) Construction has continued both east/west of Zimmerman Trail. Poly Drive will remain closed. Residential/local traffic is permitted.
The first lift of pavement will be installed west of Zimmerman Trail this week. However, the contractor will still be pouring concrete sidewalks and drive approaches. This will require the contractor to maintain the road closure as large concrete dump trucks will be in the area. East of Zimmerman Trail, the contractor is finalizing the pipe construction. The contractor is hoping to finalize the pipe installation this week or early next week. Once completed the contractor will start the road preparation work in advance of the paving operations.
The City of Billings is developing a project to reconstruct Poly Drive (32nd Street West to 38th Street West). The project will include:
Paving street improvements
Funding for the project may come from a combination of city gas tax, curb and gutter repair, storm drain funds, and Special Improvement District (SID) assessments to property owners as proposed. Estimated assessments for individual property owners are presently not known. However, property assessments would be spread over a period of 15 years.
