The station houses pumps that are as large as 1,000 hp and capable of pumping 14,000 gallons per minute. The distribution system has:
  • More than 450 miles of pipe that range from 4 inches to 42 inches in diameter
  • 11 booster pumping stations located around the city
  • 14 storage reservoirs with a total storage capacity of 34 million gallons
