    AIDA is coming to Billings! In preparation for the opera, learn its story. Terese Blanding, Rimrock Opera board member and archivist, will connect the historical, cultural, political and intimate details that swirled around the opera. Invasions, sieges, wars, sultans, emperors, Italian divas, French Egyptologists, Russian impresarios - all made this a story Verdi couldn't resist. Bring a lunch and enjoy a lively hour.

  3. Access Video On Demand - Streaming Video

    April 16, 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM @ Library 2nd floor computer classroom

    Enjoy over 13,000 films and 207,000 segments of free streaming video. Access Video on Demand and Archival Films feature eight comprehensive collections including films by such greats as Ken Burns, NOVA, Bill Moyers, National Geographic and many more. Our librarian will teach you how to use this fun new resource so you can start enjoying streaming video from home. Space is limited so please call or email us to sign up for your spot.

  4. Kids Books to Movies- Secret World of Arietty

    April 16, 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM @ 510 N Broadway

    Celebrate National Library Week April 14th- 20th with special after school movies. The Library will have a special showings of kid's movies that are based on books. At the end of each movie a drawing will be held to give away a copy of the book. The movies will be shown on the first floor of the library in Children's Services beginning at 4p.m.

  5. "If You Give A Mouse A Cookie"

    Come enjoy stories, songs, and a visit from the Mouse from "If You Give A Mouse A Cookie". Every child will receive a free book! Sponsored by the Billings Chapter of the Montana Association of the Education of Young Children.

    April 16, 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM @ Class held in the 2nd floor Computer Classroom

    The paperwork required of homesteaders before they could obtain title to public lands resulted in exceptionally detailed records. These are rich resources for family history. The Yellowstone Genealogy Forum will help you learn about locating and using these records in your own searches.
