Tourism Business Improvement District Meeting Cancellation
The TBID meeting scheduled for February 11th, 8:30 a.m., at the Chamber of Commerce Building has been cancelled.
City Board and Commission Vacancies
NOTICE OF BOARD AND COMMISSION VACANCIES

My office is now accepting letters of interest to fill the vacancies on the Boards and/or Commissions listed below. Applicants must live within the City Limits and may have special requirements. I am asking for your thoughtful consideration of potential service on these Boards and/or Commissions.

City Boards and Commissions are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council. City Boards and Commissions are advisory only and have no administrative authority, unless specifically required by Federal or State Law, or Interlocal Agreement. Members of Boards and Commissions serve without compensation, must be at least 18 years of age and reside within the City limits (home residence). Terms of office are generally four (4) years.

If you are interested in applying for any of the positions listed below you can download an application form from our website located at http://ci.billings.mt.us or drop by City Hall, 210 North 27th Street to pick up an application form:

Date & Time of Incident: 02-07-10 1516hrs
Type of Incident: Stabbing

On the above date at approx. 1516 hrs Officers responded to a Stabbing call at Rose Park. Officers made contact with the 28yoa white male victim at St. Vincent’s Emergency Room. The male victim advised that he was taking a walk at Rose Park. He advised that 2 male Hispanic suspects approx. 18yoa approached him. He advised that he was hit in the head by one of the suspects. He also advised that one of the suspects stabbed him in the chest with a knife. The male victim then drove himself to St. Vincent’s Emergency Room for medical attention. The male victim had a stab wound to his upper left chest. The victim’s injuries did not appear to be life threatening.

At this time this case is still under investigation and if anyone has information regarding this case please contact the Billings Police Department.

PRESS RELEASE

DATE: February 2, 2010

TIME: 1400

INCIDENT: Rollover Accident

On this date at approximately 0720 hours, Billings Police responded to a report of a rollover accident at Airport and Alkali Creek road. A Jeep Liberty vehicle was traveling west on Airport Road. This vehicle lost control while crossing an icy overpass and slid sideways into the eastbound lane of traffic. This vehicle collided with a Nissan Altima that was traveling east on Airport Road. The Jeep, driven by a 30 year old Billings woman rolled over on its top. She was extricated by the Billings Fire Department. The driver of the Nissan was a 55 year old Billings woman. Both women were transported to local hospitals by ambulance with serious/non-life threatening injuries. There were no other occupants in either vehicle. No alcohol was involved, the driver of the Jeep was cited with fail to drive in a careful and prudent manner.

Location: 1221 Wicks Lane

Type of Incident: Robbery

Case Number: 10-02002

On this date and time BPD officers responded to the 3 G’s in reference to an attempted robbery. Upon their arrival officers were told by the employee that a white male, in his 20’s, thin build approximately 5’ 7”, thin build and wearing a gray hoodie attempted to rob them. The suspect had entered the store and purchased an item. The suspect then brandished a hand gun and demanded the contents of the cash drawer. The clerk told the suspect he could not comply due to the fact the cash drawer was shut. The suspect left the store with out receiving the cash drawer’s contents.
