Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing will be held by the City of Billings, Montana on January 22, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at City Hall. Pursuant to Federal Transit Administration Circular Number 9030.1C, the purpose of this public notice and public hearing is to solicit comment on the Program of Projects for which Federal operating and capital assistance under Section 5307 of the Federal Transit Act is being sought. This Program of Projects is the final program unless otherwise amended.
the hearing, the MET System will afford the opportunity for interested or
affected citizens, agencies, private transportation providers, and local
elected officials to be heard with respect to the social, economic, and
environmental aspects of the projects. Interested persons may submit comments,
evidence, and recommendations orally or in writing on the proposed program of
projects and on the performance of the Recipient. If assistance is needed, please contact (406) 657-8218. A copy of the application for the Federal grant of the proposed projects and a draft TIP for the area, are currently available for public inspection at the MET Transit office at 1705 Monad Road. Written comments on the proposed Program of Projects should be submitted to the Director of Aviation & Transit, City of Billings, P.O. Box 1178, Billings, Montana 59103, by 5:00 p.m. Monday, Janary 22, 2018. Verbal comments can also be heard at the public
hearing on Monday, January 22, 2018, at 6:30 p.m. in the City Council Chamber
at City Hall.
The final Program of Projects will be available to the public in the City Clerk's office, City Hall, City of Billings, Montana, following the comment.
