Information Technology is headed by the IT Manager and supported by the Administrative Secretary. The Administration Team works together to:
- Provide leadership in strategic planning for technology related initiatives. This includes working closely with the City Council, Administration, department directors, the Information Technology Advisory Council (ITAC), IT Team Leaders, and other key staff members from throughout the organization
- Work with IT Team Leaders to establish and achieve division goals in support of City Council initiatives and Administration directives
- Develop, represent, and manage the budget for the Information Technology and the Telephone System funds
- Coordinate with all members of the Technology Replacement Committee in the development of the annual Technology Replacement Plan (TRP)
- Administer procurement for technology based products such as PC’s, servers, printers, consumable products, software, peripheral devices, desktop phones, cellular phones, mobile computing services, and more
- Manage technology vendors for all technology based hardware & software solutions. This includes recommending solutions, developing integration plans, project management services, training, oversee maintenance contracts, and provide end-user support
- Oversee, provide guidance, and facilitate the needs of the Information Technology Team Leaders and their staff
