Billings Public Library has free monthly programming for Adults and Older Adults that focus on a variety of topics and support the library's commitment to lifelong learning.

Plan Your Retirement: Social Security and Medicare
April 1, 3:30 PM - 5:00 PM @ Community Room

Join David Baier, Public Affairs Specialist at the Billings Social Security Office, as he guides you through the ins and outs of pre-retirement planning with a focus on Social Security and Medicare benefits.

Participation is welcome, so bring your questions! We’ll have plenty of time for them at the end of this informative presentation. No registration required.


Tech for Older Adults: Appy Hour!

April 15, 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM @ Second Floor Computer Classroom

Bring your smartphone (Android or Apple device) to the library for Appy Hour! This one-hour program will help you get more comfortable using your smartphone and the apps you have downloaded. Maybe you’ll even learn about a some new apps you would like to try! Space is limited. Call the library at 657-8255 to sign up.


Tech for Older Adults: Facebook
Friday, April 29th @ 3:30 - 5:00 p.m.

Have you been thinking about using Facebook but aren’t sure it’s right for you? Maybe you’d like some more information before you jump in head-first? If so, this class is for you! We’ll talk about how Facebook works and how you can use it safely and securely to stay in touch with family and friends. We’ll have time if you’d like to make your own account or just want help learning how to better use your existing Facebook account.

This class is for adults and older adults who already have a basic knowledge of computer and internet use. Space is limited! Please call 657-8255 to reserve your spot.

One-on- One Computer Tutoring Sessions for Older Adults
Would you like some personalized help learning to better use your smartphone or other digital device? Maybe there's a website or computer program that you could use some help navigating? Whatever the case may be, give us a call and sign up for a one hour session with a librarian that will help answer your questions and make you a more confident user of technology.
