Affordable Care Act (ACA) Help

The open enrollment period for health insurance coverage through the Affordable Care Act runs from November 15, 2014 through February 15, 2015.  This act may give more Americans access to reliable, high-quality medical care, while advancing programs to hold costs in check.  Provisions of the law include: insurance subsidies for consumers; transparent exchanges to shop for insurance; new rules protecting consumers from insurance abuses; increased Medicare payments for physicians; and more.

Health Insurance Marketplace
The Health Insurance Marketplace is designed to make buying health coverage easier and more affordable. The Marketplace allows consumers to compare health insurance plans, get answers to health care questions, find out about tax credits, and enroll in a health plan. Getting help:  Montana Navigators
Navigators are organizations that assist consumers in evaluating options for enrolling in plans in the Affordable Care Act. The U.S. Government provided grants to navigators and trained them to provide unbiased information to consumers about health insurance, the Health Insurance Marketplaces, qualified health plans, and public programs including Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program. Navigators are required to adhere to strict security and privacy standards.
