Kids Books to Movies
December 26th, 27th, 29th, 30th, 31st Afternoons at 2:00pm - 1st Floor Story Tower
Watch a movie based on a book, stay for the whole movie and be entered into a drawing for a copy of the movie and the book the movie is based on
  • Friday, December 26th - The Polar Express 100 mins G
  • Saturday, December 27th - Frozen 102 mins PG
  • Monday, December 29th - How To Train Your Dragon 2 102 mins PG
  • Tuesday, December 30th - Rise of the Guardians  97 mins PG
  • Wednesday, December 31st - Charlotte's Web  94 mins G
  • All children welcome!
Saturday, January 3rd  - 10:30-11:30am 
READ to a Dog
  • Each child may read one story or have about 15 minutes with a dog of their choice
  • Registration is first come first serve at the Children's Desk on January 3rd (no pre-registration)
  • All dogs and handlers will have a spot in the Story Tower
  • While waiting, enjoy Story Time in the back corner at 11:00am
  • We thankfully recognize the Otto and Yvonne Mansfield Endowment at St. Vincent Healthcare Foundation for providing the funding for this program. We would also like to thank the Billings Public Library foundation for coordinating the efforts of making this gift possible.
  • "READ to a Dog" is part of R.E.A.D.® (or) Reading Education Assistance Dogs® which is a program of Intermountain Therapy Animals of Salt Lake City, Utah.

Tuesday, January 6th - March 2nd

Family Reading

  • Registration begins January 6th - The link here will be active beginning on Jan. 6th
  • Registration ends on February 10th
  • Logging ends March 2nd
  • 2 or more people read together for 20 minutes a day for 20 days
  • When the 20 days have been logged, you are entered into a drawing for a $50 gift card
  • Winner will be announced at the Magic by Kameron Show on March 2nd

Make and Take Winter Craft

  • Come make a fun winter craft to take home
  • No registration required
  • Just come with your imagination and a want to create
  • All children welcome!

Saturday, January 17th, 11:00am

Costumed Story Time - Peter and the Wolf

  • Come see the NOVA Theatre performers tell the story
  • Story Tower

Full STEAM Ahead!

  • Explore, discover, create - hands on projects of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math
  • Ages 8-12
  • Registration is a must - call 657-8256
  • (the first Full STEAM Ahead is going to be an explosive surprise! - It may even be edible)
