Overview
The City of Billings has three labor unions representing over 75% of the City’s total employees.

Teamsters Union - Local 190
The Teamsters Union – Local 190 represents the largest share of City employees with approximately 350 members. The effective dates of the current Contract between the City of Billings and Teamsters Local 190 are July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2010.

Local 521 IAFF
The Local 521 IAFF (International Association of Fire Fighters) represents the City’s 113 active firefighters. The effective dates of the current contract are July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2010.

Montana Public Employees Association – Billings Police Unit
The Montana Public Employees Association (MPEA)– Billings Police Unit – represents the City’s 106 sworn police officers. The effective dates of the current Contract between the City of Billings and the Montana Public Employees Association - Billings Police Unit are July 1, 2006 through June 30, 2009.
