Overview
Article 9-201-204
There is hereby created a Community Development Board. The Community Development Board shall be composed of nine members who will possess the qualification for office required for the office of Mayor and shall be appointed by the Mayor with the consent of the Council. Six members shall be appointed from lower-income neighborhoods of the City as defined by federal regulations for the Community Development Block Grant Program and three additional members from the community at large.

The Community Development Board shall serve in an advisory capacity to the City Council for the purpose of providing citizen input to the policy decisions of the City Council. The primary responsibilities of the board are to review existing and proposed City policies and to review City department activities to ensure the City policies are being implemented and carried out and further, to report any shortcomings and make recommendations to the City Council in the area of community development.
